When am I eligible to apply for work permit (off campus)?

Hi there,

so I am an international student from Germany at a College in Alberta and doing a diploma in Business Administration.
I came here last year in September, so almost 6 months and therefore I would like to know when I can apply for work permit off campus? I want to work in my summer holidays and therefore I need a work permit.
I went to cic.gc.ca and filled out the questions and it said yes, I am eligble to apply for a work permit, but it doesn't generate a document cheklist and I cant download any forms because I need this document cheklist code...

can anyone help me pls?

well rules have changed u dont need an off campus work permit any more. since 1 june 2014 u dont have to wait for 6 months any more and u can work on ur study permit if u applied for study permit after june 1st 2014 if not and ur study permit does not authorize u for working off campus then u need to apply for amendment of ur study permit

yeah i applied before June 1st, which means that the work permit is not included in my study permit. And I can'T find anything on the page concerning the work permit. Isn't it the same process as the one where you apply for ur study permit? which means that i have to log in to MYCIC and apply for it?

CIC is no longer issuing confirmation to work off campus letter for pre-June permit holders. Your only option is to apply for amendment of study permit. Its free.
