Hello everyone,

If there are visits outside canada and stamps on the passport after the date when the application has been submitted, does CIC take those into consideration for citizenship eligibility?

As far as my understanding, they are concerned about the date till when the application has been signed and submitted to determine eligibility, correct?

They may look at it at the interview as they look at all the stamps in the passport + it is important to translate any non English/French stamps by a certified translator(ATIO member). It is also recommended to take colored copies of the biographical page of the passport + colored of all pages that contain stamps/visas attached with the original translation. No need to include copies of blank pages.

In my invitation on exam there were no indications of copies of bio pages of passport (and no word about copies of other pages as well). Actually officer need original (copies they already have as we sent them with application), and that was the only she was interested (original of documents submitted)
Stamps was checked only for 4 years before application and for Mexican stamps (despite we do have translations :) ) even translation was not asked.

BTW you can make translation not only via ATIO translator, you can do it with any person (not family member) who know that language and make affidavit in immigrations (multicultural etc) centres...
