Visitors Visa extension from canada

I am a permanent resident of Canada and Mom is visiting me as a visitor from Bangladesh. She has a visitors visa (multiple) valid for 10 months. My question is, can she apply for further extension of the visitor visa from Canada? or she has to go back to Bangladesh and apply for such extension? I will really appreciate if anyone can give me some idea on this matter with proper web link.

If she wants to remain in Canada longer, then she can apply for an extension of her visit to Canada. If approved, this extension will allow her to remain in Canada longer for this specific trip. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

If she instead wants to extend her actual visa so that she can visit again in the future, she needs to apply for a brand new visitor visa (not an extension).
