I APPLIED FOR MAY PARENTS VISITOR VISA ON JULY3RD AND ITS STILL SHOWING UNDER PROCESS...

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF VISITOR VISAS ARE ALSO AFFECTED BY STRIKE??

yes I applied for my mother on 19th of June and received the visa on 12th of July. So they are taking roughly 25 days or 15-16 working days.

Hello friends..

I need some information on visitor visa..

I applied for my mother for visitor visa from Chandigarh VFS and on website it says visa office received file on 15th july and under process.
I want to know how long is it taking for visitor visa now a days because on site its saying 11 days from Chandigarh, I am asking question because there is strike going on so just wondering from forum members experience.

I have included documets

Invitation letter to invite my mom for 2 months
my P.R card,
My job letter
my bank statement with around $10k
my previous 4 pay slips
my last year T4 and notice of assessment

my other's retirement letter
pension letter from bank,
my mother's bank statement from last 6 months with over Rs. 15 lac
my mother's tax returns for last 2 years
our house property papers on my mother's name.


What do you think guys.. chances of visa? and time duration.


replies will be appreciated. Aryan Sharma can you please give some advise if these were the documents we needed to supprt or was there anything else required?

yes that's perfect application. nothing is missing

we applied on july 11th actually I sent papers on july 3rd and its still showing under process...

so I think another week or so due to strike

we have to wait no other choice

and it still says "under consideration" from the Guadalajara VAC

I am live in caregiver and I did apply PR in dec,2011 and my husband also in my PR applicaton. I have open work permit.My cousin brother getting married in Aug that's why my uncle send invitation letter to my husband and I too include my all supporting documents like open work permit ,my USA and Canadian vistor multiple visa photo copies and one letter from my side.my husband did submit application on july ,8 at chandigar visa office and I checked many times it still showing under processing,i heard from someone that if it takes more than 13 days ,it means visa will reject.is it true ,please give me advise some one

Hi All

I applied for the TRV on the 10th July 2013 at VFS Chandigarh office. The CIC status still says that its under processing. My original plan was to leave on the 27th July for the wedding which is on 3rd of Aug. It seems like that I need to change my plans but I dont have much time left to fly.

Has anyone else experienced delays in the application applied in July or before? How can I expedite my application?

Or for how long more should I wait before start sending emails right left center?

my boyfriend was in similar situation, his flight is saturday 27th and the status was the same online for 5 weeks!! He applied in Mexico. We started to email them every day this week and said that his flight was this weekend. They just changed his status today to application complete and in transit to applicant so his passport is being returned with hopefully his visa inside!!! But yes we had to get really annoying and emailed them everyday this week so we could find out what to do with the ticket. I just hope that they didn't get annoyed and sent back everything without an approval...just being paranoid.

5 weeks is a long time but then I am not sure abt the timelines when applied from Mexico.
Dont think you would have pissed them off, actually kept them reminded abt the tickets so they can act fast.

normal timelines before the strike were 2 weeks! During the strike 5 weeks. So it's more than double.
Yes I think we did remind them about the flight and probably that helped. Thanks for your positive thoughts!
I won't be able to sleep tonight!!

Now go and email them your situation! hahaha. get to that wedding!

Im from Philippines and my mom applied for Visit Visa and submitted her application to VFS Manila then last July 26 @ VFS CENTER theres a letter came from VO Manila that she will undergo Medical Examination. I dont know why but she only applied for TRV.
