Visitor Visa and work permit

Hi ,
I am in USA now.I have approved Canada visitor visa . I am applying for Canada work permit through another employer . (Expecting it will take 3 to 4 months)
Can I go and stay in Canada on Visitor visa until the work permit approved and work for that employer after approval .
or Should I come out of Canada and reenter to work on that work permit. Please advise

You'll need to exit Canada and re-enter to activate the work permit.
