I am naturalized US citizen and since Montreal/Quebec is short drive for us from the Northeast USA, I have visited that region of Canada for years during the summer time. My brother, a citizen of El Salvador, entered Canada on a tourist visa, met a Canadian woman and since they have not figured out what to do about their relationship yet (they are seriously considering marriage) he is basically present their illegally. I recall that while applying for his tourist visa, he had to provide information on his siblings and he provided my details.

This coming spring if I were to visit Canada as a tourist, will I have problem entering? Can the officer at the border crossing see that my brother has not left Canada on time? I have no urgency to visit Canada and I will be fine waiting till he sorts out his plans, but I would love to visit Montreal as soon as the weather gets nicer.
