Exact same thing happened to us (my partner is German and that's where we live) with Vienna and Ottawa. Apparently this is happening these days. I emailed CIC and they confirmed that it went to Ottawa. Apparently we should be thankful because it's a faster office? :MrScarface said:

We made the mistake and misread that they wanted a court certificate for a second police clearance and sent the wrong document twice. Fortunately we realized our mistake and sent in the correct certificate. We were lucky to have a really nice agent taking care of our case and would answer our emails and questions such as "have the documents arrived, we have not received confirmation etc.. also the day we sent the court certificate a agent called my husband in Bosnia and talked to make sure we sent the correct one this time

We sent them January 22, and we received PR January 29. He arrived in Canada February 22am-ir said:
We were lucky and had them always reply fast and answer the question, maybe because they were finished with all other paperwork and were only missing that document. Also when you do receive the email to send your passport, after you send it, send them an email if you send by registered express mail; for the tracking number, which they gave to us.am-ir said:

Ottawa is much faster!. And as I read same information on embassy website last week, I got my application sent to Vienna and it's in process...freeze said:

People just keep saying it's faster.. but I'm suppose at some point, if they are getting all these extra applications, it will stop being faster. Not much we can do though!
