First id like to thank everyone for great support and advices on here and for making it a lot easier to deal with while waiting fo my husbands PR. Had a wodreful time chatting about different topics other then vienna processing... I still will be visiting from time to time to het updates who got their PR and when
I hope and wish you all who are waiting great nees in the near future.
My husband is coming this thursday and ill be busy getting ready for his arrival so i might miss some of the posts but ill try to keep up i am happy excited scared .... Mixed emotions we finally get to live together as a new young family ))) yay

You must feel like a kid waiting for christmas morning lol and thank you for all the support dont worry about the forum enjoy those first moments and days with your family. But i do have one favor to ask...when you get a chance if you can post what your hubby has filled out on declaration form and any other forms if needed and his landing process

Not much to add here

1. Appliances are usually included. Included utilities depend on the landlord. Our old place included everything, even internet. Some places include everything but electricity and other places charge you for everything. But it's usually listed in the offer. Check out http://www.rentfaster.ca/, http://www.kijiji.ca (real estate), http://calgary.rentspot.com/, http://www.rentboard.ca/rentals/?locid=110, http://4rent.ca/Calgary-Rental-Homes-%7C-Calgary-Rental-Property-113/listing/ and https://www.airbnb.ca/ (for short term rental when you arrive).

2. For $3 you can drive 90 minutes wherever you want by bus and C-Train. Busses take only cash (they don't have change), at C-Train stations you can pay by credit card & cash. There are daily passes as well.

3. There are a lot of second hand stores (Value Village, Thrift Shops, used furniture stores etc) where you can get really lucky with almost new clothes for a few dollars, cheap furniture, etc.

5. The baguette at Safeway is actually really good ;-)

If you need a place to stay for a few days let me know. We are only "booked" for 2 nights in July so far. It's only a queen size blow-up mattress but it's for free ;-) Otherwise you could use airbnb.ca or couchsurfing.org. Hotels in Calgary are quite expensive

Ok...I was hoping for a King Size and breakfast served in bed and someone to open the blinds and stroke my hair in the morning.....aaaaahahahahahahahahaha

Hahahahahaha Tom......

1. Even though the calgary housing market is pricey you can still find a 1 or 2 bedroom in that range. It depends on the landlord or proprty management company but some ultilities are included.

2. I know a monthly transit pass is $96

3. We have flea markets and farmers markets in calgary.

4. Industrial zones are in the SE and NE areas of the city

5. There are many european bakeries and deli's

6. Diapers are expensive im guessing 25-35 per package

7. Alberta has wheat, corn, potatoes and greenhouse tomatoes.

8. Lots of fish and chip spots and fish markets but if you want to be a true albertan you have to try prairie oysters hahahaha look it up yum yum hahaha

9. You can get away with it here in calgary
