OK. Guys, just a few minutes after my post, credit card charged. Delivery was on 10-July, and charged on 6-October.

I checked on Oct-12 they are processing application received around 17-July as of now, the wait keeps getting longer

Electronic Departmental Order (eDO)

The FBI will be implementing a new option to electronically submit requests and receive responses for Identity History Summary Checks and Identity History Summary Challenges. The new eDO option will allow for faster processing of requests.

You can drop an email to Identity@FBI.GOV
They send you update on your case and tell you dates they are opening these days
It is very responsive email address and the you get a response generally in 24hrs

My application reached FBI on July 14th and I called today to check the status. The lady asked my name and said it wasn't showing in the system and I should call by the end of this week.

Do you guys know what does that mean? Does it take time to show up in the system after they have opened the package?

Hi Guys,

I was mistaken, my application reached FBI on 17th July and not 14th July.
I called this morning and was told that my letter has been sent and should arrive by tomorrow. I live in NYC.

Called today. The FBI are opening packages received July 19. (Ours was!)

They couldn't find ours when we gave our name which was odd - so they told us to call back on Wednesday. This might mean it will take Friday, Monday, and Tuesday to open all of the packages delivered July 19.

I will provide an update when I have more information next week on Wednesday.
