Dear All

I need to ask few questions pertaining to PR requirements / citizenship.

There is a law that if any canadian company hires you and post you to any X country the time you spend in that country working will be considered in the time of PR days calculations and also for citizenship.

Lets assume that if someone is hired and posted outside canada will he be ;

• Still entitled for Child tax benefit;
  
  Medical entitelments;
  
  Does he need to report this to CRA or any other authority or just mentioned that in his next tax returns;?
  
  can a person Stay outside of canada for 4 years and after 4 years apply for citizenship is that allowed. ?
  
  what is the difference in this kind of person from the person living in Canada. ?
  
  Is there any detailed document on this regulation ?

You don't have a correct understanding of the rules.

Yes - this will allow you to keep your PR status while living outside of Canada.
No - this will not allow you to qualify for citizenship. You must be physically living in Canada to count the days towards citizenship.
No - you won't be able to collect child tax benefits. Again, you must be physically living in Canada to qualify.
No - you will no longer be covered by the provincial health care system once you are outside of Canada. What medical entitlements you receive depend on what the company offers.
No - you cannot apply for citizenship after living outside of Canada for 4 years. Again, for citizenship PHYSICAL RESIDENCE in Canada is required

There is no CIC link that covers all of these rules.

Rules for child tax benefits and health care are not found on the CIC web site - but can be very easily found if you perform a search on the internet.
