Hi everyone;

I just have a quick question: I'm originally from Argentina and my next step towards becoming a canadian resident is go through a security

check. Now, I've heard that everyone has to submit FBI records check, with fingerprints; is this information correct? I find it strange since

I've never lived in the U.S; I'v been there on vacation but I've never stayed there for more then a few weeks. And I know this FBI check

takes a long time because my friend who did it, for having lived in California, said it can take several months.

I appreciate any support.

Thanks!!

FBI checks is for people who lives in the US not visitors on vacation. So you don't need it.
All you need is the check from your country and any other country you might have stayed for
more than 6 months. But if you have lived in the US for more than 6 months you will need it and the PCC
of the state which you stayed.
