In the travel form, do you need to indicate your stay at Canada If you are currently inside Canada?

I think the form requirement doesn't say this, but my agent told me this was necessary.

No need. It actually says "List all trips that you have taken outside your country of origin or residence.
If you are in Canada right now and legally admitted to stay at least one year then Canada is your current country of residence thus you do not have to include that.
