Transferred Buffalo to LosAngeles - Lets track timelines

hello friends.

i have a question. my application was sent to buffalo......and i reside here in Los angeles. my NOC is for LPN.

My question is......would buffalo send it right away to Los Angeles or would they do the prelimenary investigation. what does Los Angeles office do....are they the final decision maker? sorry for the ignorance seniors.

Got ur PM,thanks for sharing ur status.no update this Tuesday,same 'RBVO'.

I found from trackitt,that 'Detroit VO will not issue PPR until july 2011'(read 1st msg from bholabhaiya) and 'LA won't issue PPR until April2011'(read 25th msg from gurrapus)

Recently one candidate from Detroit got the following response while waiting on his PPR (post medicals):

"CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada so that we meet, but do not exceed, the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the issuance of visas throughout the year. As a result, we will not be in a position to issue a visa to you until July of this year. We expect to send the instructions to you approximately in June."

But this should be irrespective of the local visa office, and applicable to all candidates. Hence if you received your PPR after 15th Jan this year, we can consider the above as some sort of an exception or a case where a standard reply was forwarded by CIC.

Hi I got my passport request on 29 December. I sent my passports on 12 January 2011. Yesterday, I recieved a mail from CIC Los Angeles saying that they are not issuing PR Visa until 1 April 2011 and they can retun my passports back if I need them.

This is very frustrating...

Anyways, hoping to finish this soon...

Our forum member 'small duck' from NY VO got PPR yesterday dated 1April,2011 and this is gud news for all NY applicants.hope things will start moving on for Detroit and LA applicants too.

one of my friend applied in Apr-2010 under canadian exp. class to buffalo offc.,
his file got tranferred to LA in Aug-2010,
got medicals request in Dec-2010,
did medicals in Jan-2011,
got PPR and RPRF request on 1-Apr-2011

This is indeed a gud news for LA appliants,so LA office was right ,they r going to issue from April2011.

forgot to add in my last post, my friend got PPR and RPRF request only after he enquired with LA office if they had received his medicals or not....n for his mails reply he got PPR !!!

yeah he is lucky n m not as for my multiple emails to buffalo office, have just got a generic reply saying my application is in process

...Even one of my friend had sent an enquiry to LA in february 2011,asking if they had received his medicals and got the generic response...don't loose hope sep2009, we r going to be lucky one day

Today our status changed to in-process with same RBVO details inside around 10.50am (IST).address disappeared

My Address disappeared on the 19th April 2011, but no change in the text, still status shows InProcess with the same RBVO details.

so,I think this address disappearing is part of GCMS transition and the LA website says so
'IMPORTANT NOTICE:We are updating our computer software. As a result, applications submitted in March and April 2011 may take longer than usual to process. Until further notice, we will not offer same-day service. Thank you for your understanding'

But on following Friday my address was came back with no change in inside details..

and also i think untill they add starting date of processing our files are not in process really.
