congrats ! we have the same timeline, you are just ahead by a few days. BC FSW backlog din kami. Nag "in process" na ba ang ecas mo? Yung personal history and birth certificate of your wife ay hindi ba included sa application na sinend mo sa CIO? Coz i remember na nag submit kami nito when we sent our application to CIO last Jan.

Application Received pa rin yung ECAS ko, yung personal history na ni request ng CEM ay para sa akin kasi gusto nila since age 18 kung ano ang mga pinag aabalahan ko hahaha , yung sa Birth certificate naman ng wife ko yung copy kasi ng NSO ay malabo, ngayon ko lang din napansin, so ang ginawa ng CEM hiningi nila yung copy galing munisipyo.

Hopefully pekto, gani, ritz, zepthkinsey, akinito a interested within this month my ma receive na tayo na PPR. dagdagan pa natin ang prayers natin.sabi "where two or more gather in my name i am in their midst". Ipag pray natin mga visa officers na sipagin sila at maawa sila sa atin.

Gani, congratualation at least our application is now moving. Hopefully you can prepare at once all the documents they asked and for sure makakarating din tayo sa ppr. Just prepare and God will assist you in you application.

Thank God wala naman naging problema, na isubmit na rin agad namin yung mga hinihingi nila today.

Note:
There is a difference - in your inquiry there is extenuating circumstance (i.e. impending repatriation/relocation leading to a request to change VO processing of the file)....This is why you have impetus to seek answers from CEM or the VO as this significantly affects processing for your file. And you will likely get an answer.

If purely just to ask status/follow-up status - you get mixed results. Most often you get the canned response - "your file is queued bla bla bla, or your file is still within normal processing times bla bla bla and we advise you to limit your correspondence...."

Expected na "application received" pa rin - di pa natatapos ang admissibility checks.

Long before (2-3 batches ago) - napansin namin na me updates sa ECAS after matatapos ang "stages" na tinatawag sa processing. Karamihan sa "medicals received" - couple of weeks matapos matanggap ang results. Nagiging in-process, then a few days later PPR. Nung ibinangga ko sa GCMS notes ko, dun ko napansin na after matapos ang admissibility check updates - me date per check na makikita sa GCMS - roughly after a few days ng date ng update ng check saka nagkaroon ng update sa ECAS ko.

Nag "medicals received" status ako sa ECAS a few days after ng update sa medical checks ng file ko.....(date sa "status updated date").
Nag "in process" status ako sa ECAS a few days after ng update ng sa security checks at criminality checks sa file ko (base sa GCMS).
Eto din ang obserbasyon ng ibang kumuha ng GCMS.

Taliwas ito sa inaasahan natin na "medicals received" = kelan natanggap ng VO ang results; base sa obserbasyon, hindi - nagaganap ang "medicals received" kung me decision na at me status update sa file mo sa medical checks. Pareho din ng "in process" - base sa obserbasyon sa pagitan ng GCMS, ECAS at sariling timeline, makikita na kapag natapos na ang bawat admissibility check at lahat me decision na (security, criminality, medical etc.). Inaasahan din natin na "in process" dahil naibigay na natin lahat ng hiningi; base din sa obserbasyon sa pagitan ng ECAS, GCMS at sariling timelines, hindi din ito ang nangyayari - nagaganap ang update matapos ang decision sa bawat checks.

Makikita nyo malaking bagay talaga ang impormasyon na mula sa GCMS. Malaking tulong sa ikawawala ng sakit ng ulo sa pag-iisip.

Thank you ragluf for giving me idea on how to make some inquiry by my sister in law who is a citizen already of Canada. Just want to ask sir

ragluf, since our application is pnp for backlog reduction and there is no sponsor being ask their in the form but we include some documents like her passport, certificate of compensation/employment and her citizenship card and a letter which she state that she will support our application. My question is, is she authorize or can she inquire the status of our application? I am also worried because it might cause a delay once she make any inquiry. What will be the best inquiry or kind of letter that she will prepare for our application and where/what office to send the inquiry?

Meron ka palang alternative via your sister-in-law - di mo nasabi ng maaga....

Me two options ka:
1. Appoint her na full representative. (unpaid/uncompensated representative). Eto ang links na makakatulong sa iyo, lalo na ang video in filling up the form.

Take note lang - as a full representative, lahat ng business dadaan na sa kanya - hindi na direct sa iyo. Kung meron man correspondence - sa kanya dadaan bago sa iyo. Basahin mo ng maigi ang guide, ipabasa sa iba kung nagkakatugma ba ang pagkakaintindi nyo pareho, at kung sakaling eto ang balak mo, ipabasa ng maigi sa sister-in-law mo para malaman nya ang responsibilities nya.

As full representative - will be able to obtain information on your case file, such as the status of your application and will be able to conduct business on your behalf with CIC.

2. Allow her to get information on your behalf (authorize her) - pero hindi sya full representative.
Release of information to other individuals
To authorize CIC to release information from your case file to someone other than a representative, you will need to complete the form Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (IMM 5475) (PDF, 1.75 MB). The form is also available from Canadian embassies, high commissions and consulates abroad.

The person you designate will be able to obtain information on your case file, such as the status of your application. However, they will not be able to conduct business on your behalf with CIC.

Madalas ginagamit itong authorization under a request for GCMS/ATIP using another person in Canada. IMHO, itong authorization is good enough to cover asking her MP about inquiring about your file, as long as inquiry lang sa status ng application - nothing else. Pwede sya na kumuha ng GCMS notes for your application (libre for citizens, or those residing in Canada). Pwede rin sya na tumawag sa Call Centre ng CIC (toll free in Canada) pero balewala kasi ang file mo is being processed in the PH, not inland in Canada .

Isipin ng mabuti kung ano ang balak, then decide. Expect din ng dagdag na days sa application kasi - this is an update in your application. Either way - me confirmation response from the VO yan before the appointed representative can start inquiring on your behalf.

Now personally I will add in a word of caution lalo na with appointing a full representative. Medyo malaki na ang responsibility and related consequences of misrepresentation sa isang full representative - lalo na with Bill C-35 na naipass. Pwede ka ma-refuse because of misrepresentation on information of an authorized representative. Kaya isipin ng mabuti ang balak.

ah ok, this explains why di ka pa nag "in process". wouldn't take long now that you have completed the requirement. goodluck! btw, where in BC ka mag settle?

Thank you for the info, ragluf. If this is the case, bakit may mga naghihintay ng 3 - 4 months from 'in process' to 'ppr'? what's happening between those period?

don't worry, nothing wrong with asking, it is your right, but they also have the right not to answer so don't fret if you don't receive reply either. but just the same, stay positive and trust HIS plans for you.
