Haha thanks! I also saw that scottishmaple posted this morning and got excited that it was finally your time!

Seems like London is going crazy with approvals (and working weekends). Hopefully they will go back and fill in all the 2012 gaps soon.

I went back to the 2012 spreadsheet to see why there are some applications that are still "pending", I did a search on this forum, but not on British Expats, and I read that SwedentoQuebec wanted to withdraw their application because of a relationship break up. I assume they went through with it because I have not see any new posts since. Maybe someone can either delete them on the Spreadsheet, or comment and say application had been withdrawn. Here is the post I read.

Bad news guys, I still can't believe it but my boyfriend broke it off, this whole process was too much and me being depressed and sad (because of the stressful situation this puts you in) did it for him so yeah I haven't got my answer yet but CIC won this one... One less Canadian+non Canadian couple so my practical question is how do I contact CIC to withdraw my application and do I get a refund if my case is 'in process'??! I payed all of the fees so I want them back kind of...omg this is so surreal

I am in disbelief with how fast processing has been lately. I am not sure what is that has made those August applicants to get their DM so quickly. Not going to lie, I am envious of them. They say that applications are processed in the order they are received. Should we be believing that or not? If it were the case, that means that most applications would be sitting on some immigration officers desk "in process". Anyways, that's my rant for now.

So my application was returned today (already re-sent it to Mississauga) because of my missing family form, but I had a peek through the application and my 8 photos for London were missing. Does that mean they've lost them and I'll have to send some more further down the line? If anyone knows?

Yes, they have "lost" them. You should really have had them retaken before sending the application in again. A returned application should contain everything that you sent them, with the exception of any documents that they consider to be fakes. (not relevant in your case).

No, the letter that was on top just said to resubmit a form that I know I had missed out. It was only because I was being nosey they I didn't see the other 8 pictures.

So, since I officially landed, I now have a job (although not in my field, still some employment), permanent SIN, BC Care card, BC driver's license, on my partner's benefits and put a deposit down on an apartment - it feels as though we are now on the upswing!

Anyone else moving/ moved to Vancouver from the UK too?

We're in Edmonton but my hubby is over in Vancouver quite a lot with work, it's such a beautiful place. We spent a few days there in August (I wanted to go to all the places I remember from my childhood - plus a few bars!!)
