Finally able to log onto ecas again, still 'in process' so no change there. However, I was looking at my address, and for some reason it doesn't have the county or country listed on ecas. It's a UK address, but would they realise this? It is correct in all the paperwork we filed so am I just fretting for no reason?

I wouldn't fret - as long as the paperwork is fine there won't be a problem. They will have taken that address from the 'mailing address' fields you filled out on your application, and as the COPRs/other correspondence are mailed from London they wouldn't need to specify 'England' or 'UK' on the address. My mailing address on ecas didn't have a country originally when it was my address in the UK, but since I've updated it to where I'm staying in Canada currently it now specified "Canada".

County isn't required either - all the post people need is a street number (and an apartment/unit number if necessary) and a postcode; even street name and town are redundant! (although it doesn't hurt to have it on for clarification's sake)

Someone else (on here I think) said they had been requested to produce this form by London as well. The info was the travel history for both me and my partner. And it is indeed the one that is only required for applicants going through Paris, so I don't know why they say this and then ask for it anyway! Seems kind of stupid if you're going to be requesting it from some people anyway. Ah well.

Also I had already sent them copies of all my and my partner's passport stamps as part of my application anyway - since we had travelled together I figured this was part of my proof of a genuine relationship. So they already had the info they were looking for anyway. Sigh.

Just got an email back from London about who the travel history was required from! Settled my nerves as we only sent the applicants!!!

That's good news. I guess I probably gave them too much info by including my partners too but ah well. My application was incredibly detailed I always felt giving more to be on the safe side was the best way to go.

Happy Family Day or whatever holiday it is in the various provinces to those in Canada. As I'm off today and not at my desk I'll probably only be able to check ECAS once or twice to see my favourite 2 words: 'in progress'.

Ah Family Day. Because there aren't enough bloody bank holidays for the 9 to 5ers.
Ah, the recriminations of a grumpy service worker. Lovely. For the sake of trivia by the way, Family Day is a provincial holiday in Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. But it isn't a Federal holiday so the CIC should still be working away! Huzzah.

I was always jealous of the amount of bank holidays there are in Canada. They even get a day off to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday! Do us Brits? Heck no!

Got no reason to be jealous now though, haha.

Isn't there like 10 bank hols in Canada and 9 in the UK? Too lazy to Google but I'm sure they are comparable...

I didn't know that federal workers had to work today until I had a visit from the postman this morning and he told me!

With you in Canada and the baby born in Canada, it's much easier as you won't have to sponsor your own baby. No extra paperwork needed then!
What you can do is : inform them that you are pregnant (and if you have it, add a letter from your physician with a due date), and tell them that when the baby is born, you will update the "additional info" form to update them.
Unfortunately, being pregnant doesn't give you any precedence over other files, nor does it speed up your application. The positive effect though is that it reinforces the fact that you have a genuine relationship, and in that sense, it might "speed up" the process because your husband might not be required to have an interview before approving the PR - so if you avoid an interview it will go faster. But other than that, it won't really change anything.
Hope for you that your husband can land before you have the baby, would be much nicer of course. Given the fact that your file was transferred mid july, you should be near the end, as your file has been in London for 7 months, and 80% of the files are completed in 9....

How exactly should I go about it? Should I just send a cover letter and a letter from my doctor to the London office through mail?
I hope you are right and my husband will be done soon. He wants to be here ASAP since he feels like he is missing out on supporting me. Plus the stress of waiting does not help us in any way!

We have a longer wait, but I think we have waited enough.
Our timeline is very similar. My husband's medical was done in March as well.
If you dont mind me asking what does your status online show?

8 in the UK. For Canada I guess it depends on your job and which province you're in, but my wife gets 11 last time I checked. Working it nets her overtime pay and most of the hours she worked that day put into her holiday time allocation.

All this talk of work is making me so sad. I used to work 7 days a week and genuinely loved it! Now I'm a useless sponge. I haven't been unemployed since i was 17!

Actually, bank holidays are variable depending on the Home Nation. Scotland has 9 bank holidays.
