I haven't heard anything from them and my Ecas still says application received. I don't think the email they sent me last time to my inquiry meant i'm in process... I think it meant that my file was under the "first review"... or whatever it can be called! The wait continues... :-\

Does anyone have an opinion, what time should I apply for an extension to my "tourist status"? I currently have to leave Canada by September 1st. So should I apply by August 1st? Thanks!!!

Took about 4 months for me to go "In Process" so you might hear something soon.

No further documentation is required at this stage."

Does that in any way mean that we are in process or about to go in process? What is involved in the "initial review"? :

You should go "In Process" soon but you aren't yet.

Its my understanding that you are suppose to apply 1 month before it is due to expire so the 1st of August would be a good time, while you wait for a reply you will be on implied status as it takes a while to get an answer and will probably be longer from the strike, therefore you could apply now..

Hi all. I'm new to this forum and finding it really helpful. Wish I had found it months ago. My wifes application to sponsor me was approved and my application for PR is showing as received since 13th June '13. Medical results also received. I know I'm in for a long wait but checking the site every day. Will keep updating with progress.

You can apply any time before your current visa expires.

I applied 2 days before mine expired.

Does that mean my application is In Process? As my online status has not changed since last year november.
