Hello all January 2011 applicants - I've been browsing through your thread just to see if there are questions or concerns you may have which I may have knowledge on. Or maybe any information you guys have that would be helpful to me!

My experience:
1. Shipped out application while in Canada but a tracking confirmation# on it
2. Sponsor received sponsorship approval in the mail on Dec 13th [mind you I've been checking e-Cas since the beginning of Dec with my Receipt# and nothing worked until the day my sponsor called to tell me he received the letter - went to check e-Cas and it started to work]
3. e-Cas USUALLY does major updates on Tuesdays
4. When checking on your aplication status the Receipt# and Client ID# needs to be used in conjunction with your sponsors information.
5. Received my AOR by e-mail [I guess because I had emailed Buffalo a few days before asking where they were at with processing applications]

Hmmm annoying....I've got a copy of my receipt in my email folder and assume we are to use the long R number at the top right? I get an error message which I guess means they haven't started processing mine yet.

Oh well....back to enjoying the holidays for another couple of days before checking again!

All very promising!

It seems to be getting faster and faster! They are now anticipating 36 days!

It was a great idea to update the table with the e-cas column! Brilliant!

I have also been using the receipt number - the one that starts with an R as well as my info - I'm the sponsor. Like everyone else still no luck - i'm just getting the error message.

Anyway I think we should be seeing some action over the next week or so!

Hi everyone

Just read through all of the Dec thread and this one - thanks to everyone, great to share all the trials and excitement!

Posted our outland Common-law application from US Dec 17, received Jan 4, 2011.

Sponsor is Canadian citizen living in USA, I am applying through London UK.

CIC website says Decision Made Jan 26 and letter sent but we have not yet received it! My PR status "not available".

The decision letter they send how long does it take usually to recieve? My spouse/sponsor only lives 20 minutes away from mississagua so will they get the letter the day after it was posted cos they live so near?

Shandymoo I got mine the next day after they sent it. I live about 20 minutes from their office in Mississauga.

Just received (Feb 3) in AZ, USA our Sponsor letter approval from Mississauga (dated Jan 26) for same-sex Common-Law partner to be processed in London UK.

So far so good and an excellent turn around time by CIC given our Application was only received on Jan 4!

I can log in to e-cas now. It says decision made January 31st. Things feel like they are moving now and the future seems to be one step closer.

Hi January folks,
My E-CAS says " decision made" for my sponsorship. It says that they mailed a letter on Feb 1. Does this mean my file has been transfered on the same day? Havent received the letter yet! Have a great weekend guys and keep sharing..Regards
