Yes different people have different comments and observations. My only point is that the why CAIPS of NDVO applicants are showing 1 from the same category and for London with wait letters showing 4? Not all of NDVO applicants whose status changed to IP sometime back have yet received MR. Only few of them are lucky. It could be procedural difference b/w NDVO and London, I guess.

Waisey time bhi tu pass karna hai kisi na kisi tarah. Tu CIC pe research hi sahi ;)

Salam everyone,

It might seem like beating about the bush but I really want to have somewhat clearer picture about the timeline to make some important personal decisions. Therefore, I request the very knowledgeable members of this forum to shed some light if they would on the following:

1. I reside in KSA, does this PPR-1 and PPR-2 thing apply to me? or will they ask me for the passports directly?
2. I received the 6-12 month wait letter on 05-Apr-2012, what would be a reasonable estimate of the time I can LAND in Canada

I would like to thank all of you in advance.

Best regards,

@ kaafmeem:

(For 6to12 month letter holders: This is all based on trends I see for MI-1).

Based on the fact that these days people who sent their full docs to london by end of 2009 are getting medicals, (2 of my friends got medicals in June 2012, they sent full docs in Oct 2009), so they should be getting visas by Oct 2012. Basically, after 3 years of sending full docs.

So my guess is, after sending full docs, it will take around 2-2.5 years for medical, and then another 6 months for visa...so basically upto 3 years (from full docs) u ll get visa...

Also, if u notice on forum, people who applied in mid of 2009 are getting visas these days (again 3 years).

So, I think 6-12 month letters holders will get visa by middle to end of next year, like around June to Oct 2013. Just my personal calculation. I hope I'm wrong and it happens sooner. But I'm thinking of a realistic time. Since delays with immigration is something one should expect.

Someone who already went to canada through FSW two years ago, told me once, "Watever time they say it will take for immigration, multiply it by 2 or 3" :) point is, no one precisly can say how much time it will take. Everyone will give their own tukkas/estimates. Let's just hope that it happens eventually. Few months here and there won't matter in the long run, if u get it...dair aye durust aye. Best. Jimmy

Best regards,
@kaafmeem,

1. You will directly get PPR as there are no restrictions for people residing in KSA to send passports outside KSA.
2. CHC London has no rules, patterns, trends when it comes to processing MI 1 applications. Each individual is processed on its own merit and luck. The time can vary according to the difficulty in doing background checks, verifications etc. You can see people here who send full documents in May 2010 and have now got PPR (Staralihaider). Well we have an example of one applicant (Sibi) who sent full documents in late 2009 and have received 6 to 12 months wait letter.

Two forum memebers asked me my thoughts about 2 different things privately..one asked about the ongoing debate "Seldec 1 or 4" issue... And another asked about interview chances....at first, I was gonna reply to them in private, then I thought of writing this on the main page...don't worry, After this, I will go back to my SILENT mode, for some time again :)

Bro-I have no more information than you or any other forum member has...We all do and say our own tukkas based on analysis of previous cases....I already commented about seldec 1 and seldec 4 on page 76 of this forum...where I gave a link of a sample file of caips from caips.com, where seldec is 4, even after visa issuance. :) so I don't know what is better or worse , seldec 4 (waived) or 1 (passed) everyone can make their own analysis :)

Point is bro, no one can say for sure, since no one over here on this forum is a visa officer...as far as I am concerned, I feel seldec 4 will stay seldec 4......and seldec 1 will stay seldec 1, even when you get visa.....just my thought.

Further , higher chances r that wait letter holders will NOT be called for interview...and if someone is called, well, what can u say , visa officer's choice but mostly, interview chances r less for MI-1 paki people. May be few people MIGHT be called, but most will not be called for interview...

One of My family friends who flew this year to toronto through FSW, I was talkin to him on phone last week.
He was saying this and I quote "1 year after your points r calculated in caips, u get visa"...:) he said this based on his own experience , since once he got "in process with date" , he ordered caips, and points had been calculated on the day of 'inprocess with date' ....and around 1 year and 4 months after his caips, he got visa...:) ...oh, and his caips had seldec 4 (when he ordered it).

Now most of wait letter holders, have ordered caips, and their BFD are ranging from March-June 2013. And almost all have seldec 4....:) so I don't know :) IF anyone on this forum works for london visa office, I encourage him to plz come forward and end this debate for our peace of mind :)

The best is bro, don't get into this "Seldec 4/Seldec 1" issue......just pray that u get through the entire process succesfully now....bhaar mein gaya seldec 1 or seldec 4 :). We do not need seldec 1 or seldec 4 :) ....What we ACTUALLY need is the VISA :) so till we get visa, nothing is 100 percent...

But yes, as per caips, letter holders have their eligibiilty passed, and further docs and medical insturctions are mentioned... so unless there is some unexpected twist, technically, letter holders SHOULD get through :)

Its like this in my words :

6-12 month letter : 60 percent done
Further docs: 70 percent done
Medical: 80 percent done
PPR-1: 90 percent done
PPR-2 : 95 percent done
Visa issued: 100 percent done

So till u get visa, nothing is 100 percent :):) so keep praying for all and don't worry too much , since VERY high chances r that the wait letter holders will inshaAlah all get through:)

So Best of luck to all and back to my SILENTLY OBSERVE mode (after this long, redundant "Daastan-e-Immigartion by jimmy") :) lol.

Regards to all.
