I am sorry friends if this has been addressed in the forum somewhere. I am asking a very basic question. Please advise what would be roughly the tax in Calgary on a salary of say, CAD $ 125k with a family of four members ?

Also is the amount that we pay for mortgage considered for tax rebate ? I mean say I have to pay $ 20k as tax as per my salary, will I get relaxation if I am paying $ 24k for my house mortgage ?

I believe you would pay around $30K in tax. Try using the following online tax calculator for a more extact answer:

No - you will not get a tax rebate or relaxation on the mortgage you pay. You will have to pay any mortgage amounts in addition to the tax on your salary.
