Taking a course or two in Canada as a visitor, is it possible?

I came in Canada couple months ago with a visitor visa and now I'm wondering, would it be possible for me to take f.ex. IELTS test in Canada ? I was reading about student visas but for courses that last 6 month or less, you don't need a student visa necessarily.

Has anyone been in same situation...? Experiences? Thanks

You can take a short course as long as it isn't part of a longer diploma, certificate or degree program that is greater than six months in length.

Thanks for reply ! So taking a short course is okay.. but what about taking an exam to proof to be eligible in a profession ? Or does one need a job offer and then take a examination for certificate ?

Thanks again

University and colleges ask for residency status study visa is the requirement under temporary visas for education purposes.

You won't be accepted no matter what is the intention.

Private or small institutes may enroll you like few days or weeks kind of courses. Chances are slim to none for regulated programs or courses.

Scylla is correct 100%.
