as I know you should first search and get study offer from a college or university and after that request for study permit. After that you land, you can request for partial work permit. Check the study permit forums

I have a query regarding application for Work-permit under SUV. I am looking to file online. As per the help-guide on CiC's website, after filling up the form we should get result as “Foreign Worker - International Mobility Program”. However, I am getting "Foreign Worker (Visitor)". Have tried several times but with the same result. Did anyone face this issue? Your assistance will be highly appreciated. Thanks
I have the same problem. could you find a way to solve this problem?
and the other question is about the employer portal. the CIC guide page mentioned using C10 for the LMIA Exemption code, while on another page it clearly mentions the A75 code for SUV PR applicants. which code should be used in the related field?

It would be best to consult a specialist if you do not know that field well when it comes to employment contracts, documents related to legislation, or any legal employment order.

I'd suggest you use the consultant/lawyer referred by the place as work permits and ein number intended for employment are made according to several criteria such as work experience, income, job category. The bureaucracy must be developed from the beginning so that other problems do not develop later.

were you able to get your pr? How long did it take for you?

Hi Startup Founders,

We are in the final stages of receiving the Letter of Support from an incubator and wanted to better understand the next steps from the founders who have already gone through this process.

1) Did you engage an IRCC consultant or Lawyer to do the paperwork for PR and Work Permit?

2) Did you use the consultant/lawyer referred by the incubator?

3) If you went through consultant/lawyer what was the cost?

4) In hindsight, do you think it was necessary to have consultant/lawyer or it can be done by self?

5) Did you incorporate in Canada before applying for the Work Permit?

6) Some of you had your Work Permits denied the first time or had Peer Reviews. Can you share any insights on how to mitigate such situations?

7) Any other tips/suggestions you might have; things you wish someone had told you while you were at this stage of your application.

Thanks

I applied for the WP under the SUV program and got a refusal letter yesterday. The reasoning was generic and a bit lame. The entire processing time was very fast; it took 100 days only from app submission to the final decision - where as IRCC website was showing processing time as 12 months but these days its showing 9 months but my case was processed in 3 months. I submitted my app on 14 July 2022.

Refusal Reason:
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the endo your stay as required by Paragraph 200(1) (b) of the IRPR. I am refusing your application because you have not established that you leave Canada, based on the following factors:
  • You did not demonstrate how this company will provide a significant economic, social and cultural benefit to Canada.
Can someone please help me what to do next? I find it as a lame reasoning that i will not leave CANADA, I have applied for the PR under SUV tooI, so obviously i want to permanently move to Canada.

I am the essential member of the company and submitting all docs. I have a very good travel history in all continents. I live many years outside Pakistan under Work permit too.

Such a shame for IRCC.
next step could be taking the case to the federal court by a lawyer. It costs a significant amount of money but it’s better than reapplying In my opinion. Because some lawyer are saying that WP refusal may impact the PR application unfortunately

Hi I am having the same problem. Did you finally get to the right form? sharing your experience is much appreciated I am in the process of applying to work permit myself now.
At one place IRCC suggests one should select C 10 as employer exemption code while in the link below it suggests A75 now I am confused which one to select in employer portal.

A75 :

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/provincial-nominees-permanent-resident-applicants/work-permits-start-business-class-permanent-resident-visa-applicants.html#port_of_entry

C10: (It says select significant benefits so the C 10 auto populates)

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/start-visa/work-permits.html#3.0

IRCC is confused as hell themselves

Hi,

I am also doing research on the said topic and I would recommend the following:

While applying for work permits and PR ensure that you not only fulfill the mandatory requirements but also give further details to visa officer. There is a confusion on selection of the LMIA exempt code as well, some are selecting C10 while others are selecting A75

A75 :

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/provincial-nominees-permanent-resident-applicants/work-permits-start-business-class-permanent-resident-visa-applicants.html#port_of_entry

C10: (It says select significant benefits so the C 10 auto populates)

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/start-visa/work-permits.html#3.0

IRCC is confused as hell themselves

Secondly the SUV work permits are rare and they themselves dont undestand those well. I would say order GCMS notes ( these are detailed notes from Visa officer and are going to be specific to your case will give you more insights}

hi, do you know how to apply online for startup work permit? I have received my LOS, and follow the instruction on cic for workpermit, but I ended up with being asked to upload some seemed irrelevant documents such as employer reference letter and etc. Could you please let me know where should I begin? Thank you so much

Which code did you eventually select and what was the final outcome of your application ?
