I am starting a business and preparing it for Canadian funding through the Startup Visa program.
Obviously, I need to do the first phase before funding -- get "proof of concept" and maybe make a few sales in order to prove to investors that the business is going to be a success.
What I am thinking is that it makes the most sense to do this "proof of concept" stage IN CANADA because that is where the business will ultimately end up... So I am going to design it for the target market in the area and want to spend my time & money making connections in the place where my business will be...
Is there any way to do this?
(Keep in mind, I don't have permanent residency status. I thought I would be able to start a Canadian corporation by partnering with a Canadian citizen, but I believe that would disqualify my business for the Startup Visa program.)
