Hi everyone,

I have gotten an ITA with NOC 2171 and CRS 456 but some people are suggesting its not the correct code and that I should decline the ITA and apply with correct code :(. I have B.Tech(Bachelor) from India and M.S from U.S.A, both in Civil Engineering(ECA done). I have been working in the US as a Sr. QA Analyst/ QA Lead for the past 6 yrs.

I got Listening-8.5, Reading-7.0, Writing 7.0, Speaking-7.5 and overall of 7.5 in IELTS.

Does my Non-IT education disqualify me for this NOC. Should I go with 2173 or 2283 instead. I am a little confused. Should I go ahead with this ITA under 2171 or decline and change NOC. Could you suggest please :)

Thanks sooo much in advance :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi,

you must use 2171 or 2283. 2171 is generally used by automation and performance testers. 2283 is for manual testers.

I hope it helps

Hi there, I know its very old thread, but my situation matches with yours'. I am Automation Software testing professional, I applied under 2283-B category, I received ITA and we applied for PR. But we didn't hear anything back from IRCC yet, however people applied in Category A NOC codes with similar timelines already get their Passport Request mails. I am wondering does NOC code really matter with processing time of PR application? Could you please throw your experience here? Thanks in advance.
