Hi.. I am an Indian citizen currently living in India.. I hold Permanent Resident status in Canada.. I got married after I got my PR status in Canada..I will be travelling to Canada in one month time..My wife (who is Indian citizen) doesn't have Canada visa..Could you please suggest which is best option to get her visa (like visitor, tourist, dependent). If so what is the processing time and what are the processes to be followed. Any help/suggestions regarding this matter would be much appreciated..

There is no dependent visa. If you want your wife to travel to Canada at the same time as you do - the only option is a TRV (visitor visa).

Thanks Scylla for your response on this..Since I hold PR, will there be any issues my wife applying for visit visa? Also, visit visa and tourist visa are different or same.. if so which is best suited in my case..thanks in advance..

Visit visa and tourist visa are the same thing (TRV). Yes - your wife can apply for a TRV. Chances of refusal are on the high side since CIC will know she is married to you and will likely suspect she has plans to remain in Canada long term. However she can certainly try - some people are successful in being approved. So it's quite possible you will have to return to Canada on your own and she will have to wait out the processing of the PR application in her home country.
