spouse sponsorship when sponsor is pregnant

Hi everyone
I have pr status in canada i came back to india and got married now iam expecting a baby if i go back to canada usually cic processing time for sponsorship (india) is 10 months would there be any benifits if cic knows that I am pregnant or will it take the same time as usual can we speed up the process by any chance

The fact you are pregnant will have no impact on the processing time of the application.

Looks like a tough choice to make in terms of where to deliver the baby - in India or Canada. Hope you have your parents around to help you in Canada in case if it takes longer for your spouse to join you.

I have heard that the CIC officers are very friendly and humanitarian in nature. No harm in informing your situation to CIC, not that it will guarantee to speed up the process. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Ten months is average time. It can be 3 months and it can be 15 months. You should apply early to get it done early. You probably can write a request letter explaining your situation and may be they consider it.
