What is the advantage if I will submit my medical together with my application package than to wait for embassy instruction to undergo medical?
When they send you a request, they put the file away and come back to it in a month or two. If you have the medical already done for them to review, there is no wait. On the other side, the medical expires after a year and you have to redo it, if you don't land by that year expiry.Lbalcueva said:What are the advantages if I will take upfront medical than to wait for embassy instruction? ^^ New application forms too. And they do not want medicals or police certificates up front any more.Alexand said:Government of Canada plans to deliver faster processing and shorter wait times for spousal reunification. Find out more at http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=1166069
It's fairly common, or so it seems, for CIC to extend the medicals. For this reason, applicants should wait for CIC to [possibly] request a new one.profiler said:When they send you a request, they put the file away and come back to it in a month or two. They announced today they don't want medicals upfront. Or PCC's. They want to request them.Ponga said:It's fairly common, or so it seems, for CIC to extend the medicals. For this reason, applicants should wait for CIC to [possibly] request a new one.
Yes, I know that, but you said this:profiler said:They announced today they don't want medicals upfront. Or PCC's. They want to request them.
Just really pointing out that an [existing] applicant shouldn't assume that after one year they have to endure another exam, automatically.profiler said:When they send you a request, they put the file away and come back to it in a month or two. Yes. However, I said that 15 minutes before IRCC said no more upfront medicals .Ponga said:Yes, I know that, but you said this:

Look over the CIC website to see if they have any announcements... I think you may have to just follow the new system. ???Lbalcueva said:Hi everyone
I am planning to send my old application kit this December in CIC, Beacause all of my application are complete and ready.
I'm lacking only for my upfront medical and planning to do it nextweek.
And now, they have a new application kit and new law? What should I do?
