Hello Everyone

My spouse will join me as permanent resident in the last week of May. The whole process took about 2 years....including sponsorship
I would like to know, can my spouse bring to Canada any funds in person taxfree?

Thanks in advance

Regards

I believe you can bring in any amount tax free, however, amounts above $10,000 MUST be declared on landing. Also, all funds brought in must have legally gone through the tax system of the country of origin. So, as long as you filed and declared all your taxes correctly there should be no problem. If you have much more than the $10,000 I would suggest getting some professional advice.
