If you are the sponsored applicant, yes, you will have to notify CIC of the change of circumstances on your application (a newborn child). However, if your sponsor is a Canadian citizen and your child is his, your child is a Canadian citizen by virtue of having a canadian parent, in which case you will have to submit a request to have your child's citizenship recognized (for which you may be asked for a DNA test). If your child is deemed Canadian, then your child does not need to be sponsored.
Hey thanks for answering but im the sponsor im the one living in canada im a permanent resident

Inland application process requires "Original Police Certificates" in the checklist.

I've been living in canada since I was 18 years of age. Do I need to do this? What do you put down on the checklist? Do I have to attach a letter saying that I haven't stayed outside canada?

The payment for OWP will be on a seperate receipt? as I dont see any option to pay for them together with the Application fee and right of residence fee.

Please help.
I also have a friend in the same boat as you, would love to know the answer to your question cause he doesn't know either. Anyone else know?

Re: Spousal sponsorship November 2012

Hello

Just wondering if i should of heard something by now, I see that some people whos application was received in November have heard stuff back. The only email i received was just that they received my application. Should I have received any other emails by now? or I will have to wait for the processing times on the website to show November?

Hey.
I don't have the answer to your question but what I can say is that, every time I had a doubt/question about my application and could not find help. I'd email my local visa office and always had a prompt reply. You can also get your sponsor to call CIC within Canada.
Good luck ;D

Even better. I cannot remember if my spouse as the sponsor had to provide any information about his family members in any of his forms; if you had to do that then probably as the sponsor you should send an updated form - but it is unlikely that it will negatively affect your sponsorship or your spouse's application. In fact, having a child in common may greatly improve your chances of a successful application as it may help prove how genuine your relationship is.

You will not always need all documents on the checklist. A Canada police certifica may be required but it seems that for Canada, CIC will eventually ask you to obtain it later, if they deemed so necessary (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp)

Also, they will know in which countries you have lived because you will need to provide details of that on one of the forms (question that asks you to list the places you have lived since age 18). You do not have to explain that you have not lived outside Canada after turning 18yo separately - the answers on the form will suffice.

Yes, the payment for OWP is made separately. It is not part of the standard PR process. It can be paid here https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/order.do?lob=17 (Work Permit (including extensions))
