Good educational background. It can take a few years depending on which avenue you apply through. You can apply as a skilled worker to permanently immigrate. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp?_ga=1.155176442.354473745.1408460873

My pleasure. I would also suggest that you think of immigrating to smaller cities in some of the prairie provinces. Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal are pretty tough places for anyone to start their lives over. Lots of economic growth happening in the prairie region at a much more...

Depending on what level of education and work experience you have will improve your chances for getting a better position then being a low income security guard. There are many scams being run by Canadian companies to hire foreigners at a cheaper wage rate and benefits. That is neither good for...

Been awhile since I was here last. I no longer recognize any names. LOL. I guess that's a good thing. If I understand your situation your Filipina wife is in Thailand. She will have to submit her passport when requested by CIC to get her PPR. I'm not sure if she will want to be in another...

Please provide the website for this Macko group. I Googled it and it does not exist. Be aware of things that sound too good to be true because in every case they are.

Does Canadian Embassy do Background Check?(i.e marriage,DUI,etc)

If you are married by custom then you would not be common law. Common law is simply a couple that live together and share a relationship as if they were married.

Yes. You are right about the burden of proof is on the applicants. So the proof that is required is given by CIC. The quality of proof is what is most important. So legal documents supporting your claim of partnership carry the most weight followed by financial records, travel receipts, photos...

The fact that you got married means more than your chat logs. The only thing they establish are the length of time you have been in contact and if you speak to each other like spouses do. That matters if you applied common law or conjugal. Not so much once you get married.

Mississauga will only process your sponsorship eligibility. Manila will process your spouse to see if they meet the requirements and you have enough supporting documents to prove that you are not involved in a MOC (marriage of convenience). If you are married the chat logs are not so important...

My advice is not to send chat logs unless they are asked for. They are lengthy and VO's have an obligation to review everything you send. So if you send them 500 pages of chat logs then they have to read 500 pages of chat logs. They are also costly to post. The CIC website indicates exactly...

Good Morning. I am writing you to inform you of my dissatisfaction of the Federal Government's move to shut the Visa office in Seoul. I find it unconscionable for the Government to continue to close Visa Offices when processing times continue to increase substantially. At the time my wife and I...
