Yeah.....you can do that quick to relieve yourself and him from paying too much fees as an international student....dont waste time and but make sure....If your marriage is original then you can even apply for work permit for him and sponsor him at the same time....but sponsor him this week and go through the process and fill all documents and send it....dont waste much money paying tuition as an international student....Thank you for this, I was wondering if anyone know anything about apply for a permanent residence when you have a student visa. My husband is from the states currently studying in Canada. The plan is for me to sponsor him for his PR. ( I am Canadian). I am wondering If we can start the process while he is still studying or if we need to wait until he is finished school.
Thanks for all the help.
You guys have to be properly married first before she can sponsor you....boyfriend girlfriend don't qualify for sponsorship....marry her and make the process easy for yourselfHello, I'm living with my Canadian girlfriend. I'm trying to get a CEC invitation first but my GF will back me up with spousal sponsorship if need be.
Aside from photos/chat logs:
All addresses for my things with my name (bank accounts, tax statements, driver licence, letters etc.) are sent to our shared house.
- We have a joint lease agreement.
- Plane tickets to prove we visited her parents in her hometown.
Other than that we track all our grocery expenses on an app (we monitor it so our spending is even).
I transfer her half for utility bills but my name isn't on any of these (she emails me the bills and I make a transfer so it's all written).
Is this adequate for spousal sponsorship or do we need both our names on more things?

We're living together and will soon meet the common-law definition, so I'm asking for common-law sponsorship and what is adequate proof to prove common-law status. We have no interest in marriage. You guys have to be properly married first before she can sponsor you....boyfriend girlfriend don't qualify for sponsorship....marry her and make the process easy for yourself
It keeps redirecting to the main page for meis the GCKey not working?
Let us know your timeline....Hello everyone, I'm a Canadian citizen and I had applied to sponsor my wife and son from Cuba, they already got their biometrics & medical done. Now, two days ago I checked online and the status of the application chaged from "In process" to " Decision Made" and also received the pre-arrival email so I wonder if anyone here have an idea of how long it might take before PPR. Thanks
