Thank you so much. Definitely helped!
no problem! I realized they don't care for stuff like that as long as you put it in as it says in the instructions, you'll be just fine. Considering they are legible and in blue or black ink.

Hi This is the first time I'm using this forum,I'm Russian and my wife is Canadian we r married for almost 2 years and we got married in Canada, but we leave together for the last 7 years in USA legally working under the visas,we are planning to move to Canada and applied for the sponsorship on July 7th 2016,we submitted all the documents all together,we r going to do it thru Russia bc this seems to be the faster way. My wife is already in Canada and starting her new job from August and I'm currently in USA but going back to Moscow to wait for my approval... Any idea how long it will take them to approve my PR?
Also me and my wife are top professional ballroom dancers and we were invited to perform and compete at the dance competitions in Vancouver and Calgary in October, I have invitations and flights with hotel and I was just wondering because I'm in process of getting my PR will it be a problem to get the TRV? I have a job contract in Russia.
Please let me know what u think?
My application was received on July 11th,started processing on July 28th

Hello! I'm Canadian and my husband is American. He is active duty Air Force and we are moving to Canada when his contract ends in August 2017. I read that you have to move to Canada as soon as the application is accepted...but we can't leave until his contract is up and we don't know how long it will take to be accepted (it seems the current wait time is 10 months but who knows).

What should we do?

If you have an application with no red flags and it is a simple one, it is taking 3-4 months currently for Americans to get their PR. I would wait to apply until March or April 2017.

Oh wow! That's great then. So you definitely have to be ready to high-tail it to Canada as soon as the paperwork is approved?

I believe you get six months to a year to land. I could be wrong though. A lot depends on the expiration date on the passport and the expiration on the medical exam. So there is some time to get your things together. ;)

On the Canadian Gov website it said the current wait time is 14 months... where did you see 3-4?

That's really great - thanks for the advice! Much appreciated through this stressful process :)

One other question - trying to fill out form IMM1344 (Application to Sponsor) and it has a section for a co-signer. We don't have one so I've tried to skip it but when I do it won't validate the form. I then tried to enter N/A but still nothing.

Have you had this issue or do you know what my options are?

Did you answer "no" to question number 3?

Hello everyone!

My wife and I were trying to figure out the proper placement of the barcode pages. We have a 3 envelope system:
1 envelope for her forms/supporting documents
1 envelope for my forms/supporting documents
1 envelope for proof of relationship

All 3 envelopes will be going inside 1 box serving as our "package"

our main question is: Should we clip/paperclip the barcode page outside of her and my respective envelopes or put them inside? does it matter?

appreciate any and all help!!

Hi guys!

I have a question about the Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire form.

I'm the sponsor and I'm sponsoring my spouse. He answered "yes" to the question "are you married?" and it blocks out the common law/conjugal questions #20 and #21.

My question is should he check off "No" to the questions #20. Are you in a common-law relationship and #21. Are you in a conjugal partner relationship? Or just leave them blank?

According to him, the form won't even let him check off no, so I'm wondering if he should just do it by hand using a pen.

Thanks!!
Joyce
