Guys

I will be renewing my PR soon.
My current PR does not have my status married.
My spouse is currently an international student.
What will be the best way to update cic and make my wife also change status from international student to PR holder.
Hope to have some clarification from the experts.

Guys
Since we are in Ontario,I would be grateful if you could advised me the best option to get her OHIP card the soonest.
As stressed earlier,my wife currently has a student visa and is in Ontario since April 2017.
Your guidance will be appreciated.

Regards
Kam

Your wife should have UHIP coverage if she's an international student. UHIP effectively provides the same coverage as OHIP.

There is no fast way to get OHIP. It will be many months after applying for sponsorship or possibly after she actually becomes a PR.

In fact she is registered as local student as i was able to prove to the college that we are legally married and I had a PR.
Thats why we are a bit trapped between OHIP and UHIP. Currently i have taken an insurance cover but it does not cover everything.
Thanks for help.
