Don't spread wrong information @ screech339

Check Fee Payment Form [IMM 5770] http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5770E.PDF

Clearly states that method of payment could be Certified Cheque or Credit Card, please update your knowledge before guiding others, no offense.

Thanks,
None taken. I am only going by what is in front on me on the link here.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/fees/index.asp

As I go through the motions of what fees to pay, the results came back only as online fees, or paying at bank for parent sponsorship.

So I am not spreading misinformation on payments. Since there is two difference responses online on how to pay the fees, through your link and my link provided, I can't be accused on spreading misinformation. When someone asked who to pay the fees, naturally one would enter CiC fees in Google and it ends up at the link I provided.

Would you mind explaining why I end up with two options (online payment or bank) when I select parent sponsorship in the pull down choices for fee payments in the link I provided.

@ screech339, I think you got it wrong re: what Sam asked. I have the same problem filling the form "Financial Evaluation".

Note that,
This form has pre-filled the period of the first row with the word "Present" which covers the whole year of 2014. Neither of us want to give 2014 NOA. We're hoping to apply based on 2011, 2012 and 2013 NOA's. It seems like we have to provide employment history from 2011 up to "Present" (end of 2014).

I worked in the same company for the whole period. Yet, I don't know how to fill it out correctly. It also requires the "Gross Income" for each period (I asked this before). I don't know if I have to divide the entire period in to 4 different years and make 4 rows or put it all together (2011 - Present).

This is how it looks in the form (fyi, the bold texts are pre-filled in the form):

15. Provide your employment history as well as periods of unemployment for the last THREE consecutive taxation years preceding your application. Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - SPONSOR

From To Employer Name Address Phone No. Gross Income/Benefits Family Size
(YYYY-MM-DD) (YYYY-MM-DD) For Period
2014-01-01 Present XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3
2013-01-01 2013-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3
2012-01-01 2012-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3
2011-01-01 2011-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3

OR/

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - SPONSOR
From To Employer Name Address Phone No. Gross Income/Benefits Family Size
(YYYY-MM-DD) (YYYY-MM-DD) For Period
2011-01-01 Present XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xxx,xxx 3
I did it like this: EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - SPONSOR[/b]
From To Employer Name Address Phone No. Gross Income/Benefits Family Size
(YYYY-MM-DD) (YYYY-MM-DD) For Period
2014-01-01 Present XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx ?
2013-01-01 2013-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx ?
2012-01-01 2012-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx ?
2011-01-01 2011-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx ?

Question regarding family size for Question 15 employment history last column asks about family size, do I put family size now just me? I live by myself, but I can't understand what they are asking for here. Do I just put 1?

Or is it family size for when my parents get PR and move to Canada, so 3?

Thank you... might be a stupid question, but I am confused....

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the Fee Payment Form IMM5770 and was hoping one of you would know the answer.

Does the co-signer need to be included in the calculation of the fees to be paid? Or is it the sponsor and the individuals being sponsored only? There is a line that says 'Spouse or common-law partner', however, I am not sure whether this applies to the spouse of the sponsor or to the spouse of the principal applicant??? ???

Thanks a lot!

I'm doing like this as a call centre agent said so:

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - SPONSOR
From To Employer Name Address Phone No. Gross Income/Benefits Family Size
(YYYY-MM-DD) (YYYY-MM-DD) For Period
2013-01-01 Present XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3
2012-01-01 2012-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3
2011-01-01 2011-12-31 XXX 1234 Street (xxx)xxx-xxxx $xx,xxx 3

She understood my confusion and said CIC will understand what 'Present' means. If I put the income for 2014; then I will have to provide NOA for 2014. So, from 2013-01-01 to Present would indicate only the income of 2013. That was her explanation.

Coming to your question, you need to put 3 for all years.

I think one should first go and find where CIC holds the info for sponsoring parents. Once you're there; you will see all required forms along with a guide to follow. All forms are updated there first. Here's what everyone should look first: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/parents-apply-how.asp

So, when someone uses Application Kit or Online Fee Payment tool randomly; s/he won't get the latest info. I'm not saying you're wrong but ask yourself what you would do to double check (go by the guide specific for sponsorship or general online tool).

This is the info you would get reading the guide IMM5772 re: paying fees:
Fee
Use the fee table in the Fee Payment Form – for Sponsors of Parents and Grandparents (IMM 5770) (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5770E.PDF) to calculate the total amount of processing fees to be paid (all fees are in Canadian dollars). Processing Fees for the principal applicant and all accompanying family members must be included with this application. The Right of Permanent Residence fee will not be collected at this time. CIC will request it at a later date.

Payment method options
Only payment by certified cheque or credit card will be accepted using the Fee Payment Form – for Sponsors of Parents and Grandparents (IMM 5770). Payment by credit card must be authorized for the total amount of processing fees required for the principal applicant and all accompanying family members. The credit card used must continue to be valid for at least nine months after the date on which the application is submitted.

Important
Other forms of payment will not be accepted.

I would have at least expect CIC to be consistent in their website on how fees are paid. It shouldn't matter where I found the link through the link I gave and the link you gave.

If your current family size is 3 persons (you, dad, mom), then you must meet financial requirement of last 3 taxation years for 3 persons. This is regardless of the fact that your parents may be living in a different country and not with you.
I had called CIC to verify this information.

If I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my parents and my parents a US permanent resident residing in the USA but Indian citizenship, where will the application be processed (Canada, US, or India)? Since the latest version of the IMM008 generic form does not have the box to select visa office, will CIC pick one of these randomly? Please help me understand. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help answer the above?

All the forms say print or type in black ink.
Where does it say that it must be printed in black ink? I have looked through the guide for parent sponsorship and no where did I see anything about printing or type in black ink. If you completed the form on the computer, naturally it will be black.

But signatures can be blue or black. Even if filled in by hand, it can be blue or black ink.

On top of almost every form that you need to fill out for sponsorship application. I have no idea if it's a must or not. But I don't think it's such a big deal.

Apart from it,
Is anyone submitting additional documents that are not in the checklist? Like photos, cover letter, any proof of 2014 income, employment verification letter etc.
