The visa and COPR usually expire when the medicals expire, so a year after your wife did the medical.

Oh, I am sorry!! I feel your pain, I understand. Even though we mutually decided to end it, feeling that it would never work out, the first few weeks were hell. We ended it 2 months ago and he had moved out a month ago, and is now contacting me asking to try again. He contacts me every few days to say he misses me and the kids, our life together. But says not one word that he is willing to change. So until he does, we will stay separated. I let myself cry and then get on with life. I have to properly take care of my kids. I cry in private, as much as I can.
They are hard-headed and close-minded. They do not believe that they need counselling because to them, they are behaving normally. They have been taught this. It is heavily ingrained in them. They feel that the women should "follow them", as my husband put it. Mine admitted that he needs to control everything.
Do you have a lot of support, people you can talk to? I am sure u have heard this before, but keep yourself busy.

Keep us updated ok? PM me if you need to talk. xo
Hi all, just to give you my experience. My husband contacted in late June, pleading to get back together, and that he wanted to change (and of course I had my ways to change, which I was doing). We were back together for 5 weeks. Unfortunately, he tried but just could not change his ways, and also realized he does not want to care for my kids (not even attend a football game, for example). He said he needs to control everything and everyone. He wants his needs and wants met first, above all. I said I would never accept any of that; we deserve better. It is what it is. He did try but it is just ingrained in him.

I hope all the best for you all, and really hope it works well for you both. Feel free to pm me if you would like to know more of my experience or if you are going through something like me..

All the best all!

Interview in Rabat

Hello, my husband has an interview in Rabat in 2 weeks and in his email they said that I had to be available in Canada by phone for 3 hours from the interview starting. Did anyone on here get called by Rabat and what questions do they ask?

I am curious if they ask questions about my husbands life or if they just sort of cross examine me on the questions they asked him about me to make sure we have the same answers?

Any help would be appreciated - we are so nervous.

Thanks

Hi, this forum has been pretty quiet lately. I've pretty much read through this forum when I was searching for information for my own application ... and I don't recall anyone being told to make themselves available for their spouse's interview. Maybe this is a new development with the Rabat office because in the past, there were some people who attended the interview with their spouse, but they waited outside the interview and were not interviewed by the VO.

The best thing to do now is to prepare for the interview ... you and your husband should go through the list of interview questions which are usually asked and be sure that your answers are the same, and be sure that your husband knows many details about your daily life.

Here is a list of some of the questions they might ask:

1. When and where did you meet your spouse for the first time?
2. How did you meet your spouse?
3. How old is your spouse? What is your spouse's birth date?

No she didn't end up calling me, but I was surprised because my husband called me right after the interview and said he didn't think she believed him on some things that I could have confirmed if I was called.

I waited by the phone the full 3 hours though, because on the letter it was in big red print that I had to be available for them to call me.

She didn't approve him at the time of the interview - she said she would take another look at our file, but did approve us a few days later.

Hello I'm new here. I'm sponsoring my husband to come to Canada. The file was received in Rabat in early September and on September 19th they started processing the file. Does anyone know from experience how long it typically takes from when they start to process it?

thanks!

Hello,

My husband's file arrived in Rabat in April 13, 2016 at which time they asked us to send in new contact information (emails, Skype, etc).
We never heard from them again until August 29 to tell us his interview was on September 28, 2016.
So it was about 6 months' wait in our case since Rabat received our file.

@seraphena you would have send all the prove of communication upfront which will help you guys to excape interview or waived interview... It's may be because you didn't send it ,warrant the interview because Morocco is one the fastest VO in Africa,
Secondary... You said he have interview on 28 of September and its now you are posting it ,so tell us how the interview goes if you didn't make mistake on the date, but if the date of interview still ahead ,I will send you some question to considered if you want before going the interview, also remember to tell him or her to take or the prove of communication ,lol that is if he never do the interview on 28 as you said
