Hello Everyone,

just wanted to know what the current processing time for SOWP in India is?

I applied for SOWP on Dec,15 2023, Medicals and Biometrics have been completed.

Eligibility requirements not yet started

when I applied the processing time was showing 15 weeks for India now it jumped to 20 weeks. I do not know what IRCC is doing, I have had people previously getting their SOWP in 2 months.

is anyone on the same boat?

I also applied for my wife on 18 december. But the processing time is increasing. I don’t know what they are doing. I didn’t see any decision coming who applied after 4 th november

Approval in 2 months is very unusual. Spouses applying for SOWP often wait 5-6 months. How does she qualify for SOWP and did you recently get married and was this an arranged marriage and do you have a lot of relationship time in person?

Hi

Is your spouse is on study permit or on work permit in Canada. Or you both applied simultaneously from India.

We applied for closed work permit and open work permit on 1 Jan, 2024 and waiting for medical and biometrics request.

Hi..

I have applied Spouse open work permit on 26th October 2023 from India.biometric and medical completed. its been more than 6.5 months but not received visa yet.. I am on work permit and staying in Canada already. Status of visa is reviewing eligibility from past 3 months.. it's frustrating to wait for long time. please reply if any one facing similar issue.. thanks..

Are you on open or closed permit? If closed, what type of LMIA? When does your permit expire? How long married?

I have closed work permit working in Software company. Work permit expiry is September 2025.Married for 11 yrs.. applied visa for my spouse and kid. I am not seeing any update and no additional documents been asked but visa stuck in same status.

Raise a webform or call IRCC and ask about status. Has your child been approved? School age?

I am on open work permit PGWP. My permit expires next year September and I have my PR application in process I also have AOR for my PR so that should not be a problem. I am married for 2 years

Raised web form multiple times. Also tracking the application from MOP in our region. but no positive response yet. My kid(8 yrs) and husband visa filed together as group application. both visa will process together. All the documents are clear from our side but not getting visa after waiting for 6.5 months.
