Hello! I am a US citizen and a single mother of a 5 year old. I am also currently finishing up a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology (Graduating in Spring 2022), but planning to study more to become a Registered Nurse. I am thinking of migrating to Canada specifically in Alberta along with my 5-year old daughter. I would like to continue to study nursing in Canada, but I worry because I would have to consider child care, job security, housing, etc. What steps should I take? Are there also help for single mothers that want to continue to study in Canada? Thanks in advance.

So you want to study in Canada? You will need to get acceptance to a college/university and then apply for a study permit. You need to show that you have the funds to afford your studies - pay first year tuition and show a minimum of $13k CDN. You will need to budget child care for your child for before and after school. Childcare is not cheap. There is no special help for single mothers.
