Should I send my Original PR Card?

My PR card is going to expire in November 2014 but I am a regular traveler and want to send it now to renew it till Nov. I was reading in instructions:

your PR card (if your card has expired or if the information on it is out of date or incorrect),

My question is, should I send my original card with my renewal application? My card is not expired yet.

No - you definitely don't need to send your original PR card with the application. You should keep your PR card with you.
