I can either go to Niagara Falls, cross the border at rainbow bridge OR I can book an appointment at Saint Clair CIC office (Toronto) - very close to my work. How long do I need to wait for appointment after call? What would you do?

Cross the border.. much easier.. that is if you have a US visa.

viki - Yes Peace bridge apparently I stay close i.e Hamilton.

I did not ask for signature. Its an option I forgot to select

You don't necessarily need a US visa. You can get an administrative refusal (which is not the same as a visa refusal from the US). Check out the following link as well:
