Currently living in Canada but it seems Manila office is faster than CPP-O, so I sent my app to CIO indicating Manila office.

the only reason I did not apply to NDVO is because I did not want the trouble of sending the passport to India or flying to India to get the stamp...also if they would have asked for interview it would have been another issue too...

I don't think CC being charged so soon is any indication of faster processing times. CC is charged by CIO and not the VO. I got my PER in 2weeks. File submitted on feb 21 and PER received on 8 mar. CC charged on 4 mar. And my VO is Ottawa.

Compared to seniors on this post most of whom got their PER after 2 months, applications received in Feb and Jan are much faster. Ultimately we all go into the same pool.

Just kidding. I know that CIC promised to complete Buffalo applications for MI2/MI3 in 2013. Do you have any timeline for people applied after June of 2012? It looks like you are in the middle of two programs. I know it is somehow moving in NDVO, but what's about Ottawa?

. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.
PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment.
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

Hi, thanks for the message and advice!
I meant if our processing times were shorter.

As you know, seniors applied to Buffalo 2010 have waited MR almost 2 years. Some seniors who filed to Buffalo 2011 is still waiting their MR from Ottawa.
CPP-O didn't announce about applications filed after 1st July 2012. I don't know what CPP-O puts the priority in FSW category.
Do you think that CPP-O does processing for MI2/3 first (in 2013), next process for MI1 (in 2014), and then process ours (in 2015 or later)? I think taking the possibility into consideration is good idea, so we can avoid unnecessary confusion/stress, although nobody can make sure how long our processing will take.
However, I believe that nobody wants to wait long. Me too.

. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.
PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment.
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

hi guys, never i received any email from Manila Visa Office regarding AOR after Nov 8 when i got my PER. and it's been 4 months.

PRAISE and GLORY TO GOD, i just received my MR this morning 1am (Canada Time), and right after work I went straight to the Clinic to get an appointment and my medical examination will be scheduled on March 28.

Additional info on my ECAS.. "We started processing your application on March 11, 2013."

Hoping and Praying that Everyone will get their MR very soon.... and finally our PR's.. fingers crossed.
