Secondary Review Petition

Hi Ajk,
I'm referring to 18 months old applications (those who applied in May 2015 until October is 18 months)
Everyone must make efforts to contact the Ministers, MP office,Media, Priministers office etc so that our voices are heard.
As you suggested earlier, if we make an Excel sheet with a list of all of our information, it will be easy to monitor and keep track.

As read application dates of April 2015 secondary review cases are being now decided and PR cards are being issued.which means as straight
19 months from application date approx and 16 odd months from Secondary review dates.
The petition submitted by all effectees has it now getting any attention??

Well I applied in June, but due to te slow processing last year, they started processing my file on November and my secondary review was in November, does that mean I need to wait 4 more months?? That is rediculous it has already been 16 months!!ohk7 said:

Received my pr card today in mail
Also today only my status showed complete
Last week on Wednesday October 19th I called CIC and the lady officer said the mailed it out .
My timeline
*We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 7, 2015.
*We started processing your application on September 8, 2015.
*We sent you a letter on September 8, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
*Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on October 17, 2016. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.
*Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on October 19, 2016.
If it helps ... My old card expired on October 15 th 2015 ... Mb they just keep you one year after your card expires !!!! Who knows ?!
I maybe the first may applicant to receive the card
Good luck to everyone ... My deepest heart wishes to you all to receive your cards too !
P.s I made no requests or inquires to CIC .. Just maybe 4 calls .. 2 of which to change my address

Secondary review timeline is really ridiculous my ATIP requests shows that no one touch my file after Nov 2015.
Liberals or conservatives this is the way CIC bureaucrats dealing with applicants .
Minister is busy to make happy PM, senators and bureaucrats only.
Documents of 25000 syrian refugees CIC cleared in one month (may be that was show business).
To check the documents of permanent residents who are living, working and paying taxes they need years. This system need to change minister should take responsibilities.
Tony i have same timeline as you, i applied after physical presence approx 1100 days, PR renewal application reach to CIC 11-June 2015 secondary review Nov 2015 and calling them each week so far nothing moved they didn't ask any document. You are right, no words for this Government...we have to find out perfect word from Oxford dictionary...we are in very bad shape...But good news is that it seems they are working on May 2015 files
There target is very clear :
Present Citizens/PR = Future Refugees
Refugees = Future Citizens
....till date no response for an email...

Any idea if the case is going for secondary review when do they send email or the letter or shows up in the status check. In my case the documents were received on Sep 16. I never got AOR email. I have provided my correct email address, I checked the photocopy of the application I have sent. Last week when I checked using my UCI, it shows processing started Sept 29.
So in case I get into secondary whats the time frame I can see an update in the status checker, I dont think I will get any email.

I became Permanent residence of Canada day I arrived i.e. 13th July 2016.
I will be staying in Canada until December 19th 2016 says about 159 day’s from 13th July 2016 and will return to DUBAI for next 1.5 years 15 months from December 19th 2016 onwards.
My question is as to keep my PR status valid I must stay in Canada for minimum of 2 years out of 5 years. So if I come back in 2018 July will I be able to renew my PR card without any problem or I may be short of 730 days.
My PR card is valid until 2021 August
I understand, if I arrive in 2018 July and then stay back until 2021 I am good to go, please advice
July 13th 2016 –to- 19th December 2016 = days physically present is 159
Now from 2018 July to 2021 August = it will be more than 730 days as per calculator it is 2018=171 days, 2019= 365, 2020=366 & 2021=232 so in total will be 1134 counting from 2018 year and I believe my current stay i.e. from July 13th2016 –to- 19th December 2016 with 159 days will also be counted.
Number of days physically present per calendar year towards my PR renewal will be 1294 days. Please correct me please

I received my PR Card in mail today-26th October , 2016
Nothing was shown online even on 25th Octobe , 2016
Don’t lose hopes, now they have started processing May 2015 applications.
My timeline
CIC received PR Card application 5th May 2015- 18 months from the date of application received.
Correspondence received from CIC dated 27th August 2015 - secondary review- 15 Months from the date of secondary review.
No documents were requested.
Received my PR Card in mail today-26th October, 2016
