Hi Arc, did you get any RQ and did you travel within the 3 year qualifying period for Canadian Citizenship? I just want to find out if people who stayed here continuously got RQ and their applications delayed or not?

Yes I did get an RQ and traveled, made an avg. of 3 weeks of trips (broken up) during a year. I believe I got an rq because of two reasons: 1) my mum who I applied with is a housewife, as well 2) we applied few days immediately after we passed the 1097 days which created possible suspicion?? I would recommend waiting a few months after you pass the qualified days to apply.

Hi friends,

I was just wondering if the health claim records and CBAS were part of the RQ? Is the start date from when you first came to Canada, or is just the last 4 years prior to your citizenship application date (the date that you signed your original application)? Is the end date to the day that you received RQ, or is to the date that you signed your original application?

Thank you very much!

my timeline is

office: st clair
applied - 2011/09
in process - 2012/05
RQ - 2012/05
test - 2014/6
oath - still waiting

just checked my ATIP report, it said that my application was granted and will be transferred to missisauga to be scheduled for oath ceremony on 2014/11.

now, I have been waiting for more than 36 months and 6 months after test has already passed. I mean how much longer do I have to wait!!!!!! this government is like in the third world. maybe even developing countries are processing paper work faster!

Hi martin0473,
May be by now your file is already in Mississauga. What was the approval date and the what was the grant date as per your ATIP?

My citizenship application timeline is even worse than yours:

Citizenship applied - May 2010
Citizenship Test - Mar 2011
RQ Received - Mar 2011 (Same day of citizenship test)
RQ Submitted - Sep 2011 (US border agency took 6 months to release the in/out data)

After repeated calls to CIC, I received three letters from them; Oct 2013, May 2014 and June 2014, saying the same thing that the application is still in the queue and yet to be assigned for reviewing. I also got the reply for ATIP and my case file shows no activity since Nov 2012.

It's been 53 months since I applied and still counting.......................................................
Citizenship applied - April 2011
Test - May 2012
RQ received - June 2012
Addition doduments requested on August 2014

My question is they asked me to submit the proof of status in US and I called Home Security and they said they can't provide anything in that format since I don't have any status in US. Were you specifically asked to submit entries from US Border and how did you do that?
