Hi @Jazz14,
I don't have a lawyer.
Can I get a legal aid for this matter?

Thank you.
Access to legal aid will depend on where you live in Canada, your financial status, your history of other applications, etc. You need to contact your provinces legal aid clinic who will do an assessment and determine whether you qualify for legal aid. If you get approved then you find a lawyer. Don’t start approaching lawyers.

Hi @canuck78,

Thanks for your advise.
I will contact legal aid clinic to ask if I qualify for their assistance.

If this is common why nobody solve the issue. Is that also mean no ones care?
May be the officer involved has backlog of application to go through before getting to the one that need to be solved. I dont think they dont care, but i do think they are understaffed

That makes sense. A lot of backlog since covid and getting worse with the strike.

If there is backlog why some people get passing by earlier. Even though they applied later than those already on the list.

I cant answer the why question for certain. But backlog in terms of volume cant never be exactly the same between officers, scrutiny and verification check not the same, speed and accuracy between officers cant be the same, some works overtime some dont, vacation, time off and so on and on..Truth is they are now dealing with THREE times refugee claim applications that it was in 2021.
