Dear All

I would really appreciate if any one can provide the information about the possibility of getting approved of super visa for my mother or you can help us for applied.
I am Canadian permanent Resident by the end of 2013 and my wife is Canadian citizen both of us are working with totally income about 35.000$ after tax, my mother is divorces and she live with her parents and she does not has any daughters or sons except me and I support her finically .

my mother has tried to applied Visitor visa but they refuse her they did not satisfied that she will leave because she does not has work history, travel history and her family ties in Canada and in her country

is it good idea if my father in law support her with us because he has steady work and good income in Canada and is there any way that I can guarantee for them she will leave Canada .

Thank you in advance

Best Regards

For your mother to qualify to apply for a super visa, you and your wife must have a combined income of at least $36,193. See:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5256ETOC.asp#incometables

No - there is no way you can guarantee that she will leave Canada. She will need to demonstrate enough ties to her home country to prove this on her own.

I think it is not combined income but child income of 36k. I am in same case. I cannot apply for supervisa for my mother in law because my wife is unemployed. Even though I have sufficient income over 36k

Your understanding of the rules is wrong. It's spousal combined income - not child income.

You cannot apply for a super visa for your mother in law. However your wife can certainly submit an application for her own mother and include your income to meet LICO.

I think the rule says that you need to have 36K income, I would imagine this is before tax where OP has mentioned that his income is after tax. I think he should be fine with income level. I could be wrong though, please correct if I am wrong.

Yes - it's pretax income. So if the OP has $35 post tax - then you're right, he should be fine.
