Not too sure about LVO time lags..

I too added my newborn in my application post getting MRs done for me and my wife.

Looks like you have done it all upfront but NDVO doesn't allow any upfront MR because nominated hospitals ask for a copy of MR letters issued by VOs. So really cannot predict. If LVO accepts upfront done medicals for newborn as well as all documents, CAD150 receipts etc then really kudos to their flexibility.

DM/PPR should not take much time either.. good luck.
Thank you very much for your response. +1 for you :)
Actually I understand emedical centers can do upfront medical for newborn babies but atleast there should be medical letter for other family members.
How long it took you to DM/PPR after your & child's MR respectively?!

Hi All, Please let me know the significance of line updates and when (after which line update) do we get MR and RPRF and PPC requests?
Do we get line updates for every documents we send (like for MR received, RPRF received and any other documents like PPC received)?

Hi canonl,

Always Primary Applicant has to go first with or without dependent applicants.

Once the Primary Applicant complete the formalities, dependents can enter Canada with or without accompany of Primary Applicant.

Then dependents can enter Canada before their Single entry Visa is expired.

Hi, so can you confirm what will happen to the PR cards..

For example i land in Nov 2015 and my family lands in Feb 2016. Will i get mine and my family's PR cards before they land in Feb 2016?

I have been seeking an answer to this question for a long time now.

You get MR and RPRF after 2-3 weeks post 2nd line update which generally reads.. "We have started processing your application on DD-MMM-YYYY"
You can get PPR after or before 4th line update which generally reads.. "A decision has been made on your application.........office will contact you soon"

You get 3rd line update which confirms receipt of your MR. No more line updates after 4th line till you land in Canada.

Thanks a lot for your response mk. The decision made line is the 4th line so I am hoping everything is in order.

I am currently in US. I have been trying to get H1B work visa for last couple of years but failed. That is why I decided to put in an application Canadian PR. So my application was actually submitted by a representative (a Canada based attorney) and it is currently being processed at Ottawa visa office. That being said, I will be moving back to India in Oct before my marriage and hopefully immigrate from there. My question is, would my spouse's application also go through Ottawa visa office or would it be submitted to NDVO? I have the same representative submit her papers as well. (I am hoping me moving back to India won't have any negative impact on my application).
So if you application is in Ottawa, where do you think your passport will go for stamping post your PPR? Canadian embassy in New Delhi, Canadian embassy in US or Ottawa?

If stamping has to happen in India then you anyhow will have to travel to India.. dont see any reason for a -ve impact eitherways.

What does your attorney say abt the ideal scenario.. your spouse's papers should go to NDVO or Ottawa?

Once you(Primary Applicant) land and complete the landing formalities(PR Card mailing address given to the immigration officer for), you will receive your PR card in 8 weeks.

Same with your family (dependents) once they complete the landing formalities after that next 8 weeks they will receive their PR Card.

Hello everyone,

Quick question: I applied for FBI clearance in January '15 and received it in late April/early may of this year. I received an AOR letter from Colombo on the 18th of March and haven't heard anything since. My questions are:

How long is the FBI clearance valid for and should I apply for a new one? I've heard that it's valid for six months as long as it's received by the VO within 3 months of being issued. Mine is probably already over three months old.

Thank you for your help. Given how long the FBI takes to process these requests I would need to ask for a new one as soon as possible.

You should submit it right away to your VO, what are you waiting for?

FBI PCC is valid for a year if it is submitted to cic/visa office within 6 months of issuance

There is a separate thread for discussion of FBI PCC cases.. you can get more info there
