I always have a backup plan just in case. There's always a possibility of rejection even after PR. Actually even if you land and get citizenship it can still be revoked. Also the other options are not just for me but for everyone who's on the limits of the cutoffs and who still has a chance to get a better score or those who maxed out their score and can look for other streams beside FSW.
That won't be your case, I am sure... so, good luck for the rest of the application :)

I just have a question. Is it possible to go above CLB 10? Some websites seem to indicate a CLB 11 or 12. But I think CLB 10 is the max. Can anyone clarify?
for IELTS yes but it won't give you extra points.

Okay great. I have a CLB 10. Was wondering if there was a possibility to improve the scoring from there.
you can't, but it doesn't matter since your points won't improve. but your CRS is already above the average cutoff

Naaaah that won't happen.. that's why i wrote to you, you u seemed too worried. they will always give you a fair chance to explain yourself, so do not overthink things, we will all make it through :)
hahahaha I'm not used to waiting and putting my life in the hand of strangers. Explains my extreme fear of flying! Don't know how I'll make it on a plane for 10+ hours if i land!

When I realised that it was impossible for me to invent a time machine so that I could get younger or learn French quickly before I get another year older, I applied to Ontario :) and got a nomination. I submitted my PR application last month as a PNP Outland. Now waiting patiently for PPR :)
Agreed here. I am in my mid 30's. Like @hamgha suggesting here, I am thinking to look give a shot at French. However, as said by you.. I am open for getting nominated by OINP.

@hamgha : Whatever I have been researching on trying various options, I have only come across HCP of OINP as the sole option for people having similar situation tp that of mine. (IELTS maxed out, ECA done, CRS 404 with spouse IELTS & ECA included, and age working against us!!).

I believe many people in the 400-410 range would have a similar case, although we are experienced (13 + years in my case) and good at English. Barring a French score, nothing will help us go further. (Note: I neither have a job offer nor a nomination).

If you have any more options that you can suggest, I would like to know.

Thanks in advance.

Same here, 13 years of experience, 410 CRS, 6 point reduction next month. Missed ONIP because my IELTS had expired back then.

Have you checked all the provincial nominations? People usually love Ontario because they sent invites to almost anyone over 400+
Have you seen the link to each province's information here : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp
I remember checking BC's provincial nomination and found "sub-streams" within it.
The reason I suggest northern provinces is that I noticed in other sections of the forums that people finding it hard to find jobs ended up moving there for employment. Because the living circumstances there are harder (longer, harsher winters), people have more options finding work. Did you try exploring the job markets there, maybe find a job? Even if it's in a lower position than what you're working in now (I'm assuming you read about the need for canadian experience and all of our current experience not being recognized the same way etc...)

Like people struggle to increase their english scores, the hope for us older people comes from french scores.
French, as well as any PNP opportunity, and any job offer (preferably with LMIA, but even without it, at least a year of Canadian work experience will increase CRS)

That's great! From the settling in canada forum I noticed a lot of northern states have lots of job opportunities. It could also be a different route to take for people in the 25-45 age bracket. French is indeed harder to learn especially noting that our French is a bit different than French Canadian. Gotta explore all the options just like you did!
Which northern provinces have lots of job opportunities?
