This is probably the most unpredictable immigration system in the world. You can spend here 10 years and may end up leaving the country just because of this unbelievable bureaucracy and rules changing every second week.

Not really. Quebec immigration is the most lengthy one in all respect. And there are so many steps and documents involved than any other PNP (including AINP) stream. So guys, you are in a better position than Quebec.

Not sure what you are talking about as I am not familiar with it but I know a lot of people who applied for Quebec outside of Canada and received PR in 1 year.

So you mean the timeline on the AINP website is not accuracy?

When it says at least 14 months or 18 months, does it usually mean 20 months or even longer?

You applied in Nov 2013? I called AINP last week and they told me that they will be clearing all Nov 2013 files soon. I applied on Nov 28th and got a call last Friday. I called today and was told a document was mailed out on Friday. Hoping to get my nomination this week.

Are you sure? In this forum someone even wait 2 years before they get nomination.

I'm so scared right now. Because it may beyond my WP expiry date.

Wow, good for him. I am way below your friend.

Right now I'm stuck in a small company(only 12 staffs), and get poor salary in order to apply in this SRS category. And there are very few months left in my work permit.

This is the reason I'm worried so much. :'( :'( :'( :'(

When did your friend get the nomination?
This year or end of the last year?

There is nothing about low salary or a higher noc job.Thay are just giving prefrence to this list since last September 2014 The 2014 internal list of “priority occupations” for the provincial nominee program included the following: machine operators and labourers in food and beverage processing, industrial meat cutters, farm supervisors and specialized livestock workers, transport truck drivers, plasterers and drywallers, welders, steamfitters, pipefitters, sprinkler system installers, drafting technologists and technicians.
The list includes university professors and lecturers and a wide range of engineering jobs — civil, mechanical, chemical and petroleum engineers and engineering managers and construction managers.
Also on the list were mechanical engineer technologists and technicians, electrical and electronics engineering, chemical technologists, heavy duty equipment mechanics, shippers and receivers and supervisors, supply chain tracking and scheduling.
Construction estimators, material handlers, electrical power line and cable workers, sawmill machine operators and machine tool operators were also sought.
In health care, the list includes licensed practical nurses, nurses aides, orderlies and patient services associates, and “other assisting occupations.”
Other categories are light duty cleaners, hotel front desk clerks and automotive service technicians.

so if ur work comes in this list then you might get ur ainp before processing time otherwise just wait for the processing time to done.Fyi I did a 2years diploma in finance and banking from ontario and also bachelors from India.Applied my ainp in may 2014 through one of the big bank in canada and i make around $38000year but my noc code comes in c.My work permit is expiring mid of this year.My one co-worker who applied in dec2013 only recive only file no.so wat my cocnlusion is that its not really about salary or job level all now depend on their requirement.
