To All Travel Experts, please help me with my queries..thank u

1-Got an email from CIC for Passport Request, Is it for VISA already?

2-Once they landed in Vancouver, is there an interview for them?
If YES, what are the possible questions?

3-I know Tourist Visa is for 6mos only, in buying airplane tickets..
is it possible to get dates from June 30-Jan 2? Which is 6 mos and 2days, or is it really
exact 6mos only?

Thank u in advance

1. Yes, office made decision to grant visa
2. For visit visa typically no interview they will stamp the day they enter into Canada border.
3. From the day they enter 6 months...it shouldn't exceed days. Not 6 months 2 days

Could be. It is part of a process but until you have the TRV with you there is no guarantee.

Yes. Normal questions like "purpose of visit", "how much time are they going to stay", "what are they doing", "who they know in Canada". Depending on the specifics a second interview might proceed.

In the case you are granted 6 months then it is June 30 to Dec 30. Staying more than that is overstaying.

Yes, three days is overstaying. Six months is already stretched, stretch it even further is an abuse.

There is no guarantee that the visitors will be given 6 months, they can be given weeks, months or six months depending on specifics.

FYI: tourist visas are not 6 months. A TRV just means you meet the requirements to enter Canada. The length of stay is determined by CBSA at the point of entry. The usual default is 6 months. It can be significantly shorter or even refusal of entry if they feel you are not a visitor.

Don't book a return ticket for 6 months after arrival. That will draw attention to them. They will need to be able to prove they can support themselves for that length of time. Better to book a return flight for a few weeks after arrival and change it after they arrive to a later date provided they have no issues with CBSA (visitor record, short return date stamp) on landing.

Just my 2 cents.

Thank u for giving me an idea..just wondering, are visa officers subjective or objective in giving visas?

Depends on the officer and what kind of day they are having. However even if they are being objective, a visitor with a six month return ticket could very easily create concerns.

Yes.

Nonetheless there is still room for mistake (passports getting lost in the mail).

So again... be patient.
