Hey Guys,

I came to Canada before 3 years and got my PCC from India before 6 months now. I have not visited India after landed in Canada and have not visited any other country before or after coming to Canada.

Is my PCC too old now for upcoming ITA? Do I have to get new one if I get ITA in next 2 months or the last one will work?

Thanks for your help in advance !!

You can use that PCC if for countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

You can use it. But it is possible that IRCC will ask for a new one, it's their right. But you can wait and see.

no you cant use it as they need the lesser than 3 months old even it is valid for 6 months. go to local bls office the charge 80 dollars and provide in 10 days which is valid in express entry if you bring from indian police station they are going to reverify which waste your time and may be they ask one new from you to provide and you have to apply from bls same happened in my friend's case, they demanded and he applied in bls office and it is ok

Thanks a lot for information Meya06, Jes_ON and Sammy1976.
I will apply for a new one after 43rd draw i guess.

My current score is 473 which should take at least 3 more draws (according to different different speculations) to secure the ITA.
Thanks again for your help.

No you dont need new police certificate.
this text is from cic website "For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country."

right. that means old PCC should work if I haven't visited India after it was issued.

Hello Guys! I just received my OINP Nomination and waiting for an ITA.
I'd like to inquire about the PCC, I had my OJT in Singapore when I was in College, sometime in Oct 12, 2006-April 11, 2007, it was roughly 6mos.Do I still need to provide PCC for that? Please advise. It was almost 10yrs ago and still a student then.

Thank you for your help in advance. God bless

Congrats on your nomination!

You would need PCC from all the countries that you have stayed for 6 months at a stretch or cumulatively over a period of time since you turned 18. It does not matter whether you were a a student or working.

You can check the requirement here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/invitations.asp

I had my PCC issued in Oct 2014 and submitted docs in Dec 2015 but I didn't get query related to it and I got approval so I don't think you need one.

Just one thing I would make sure is that I heard if you get it from India then all the addresses you lived in India should appear on PCC. The best thing is to get it from Indian Embassy if you are already in Canada.
Thanks

This is the old requirement, it is no longer true.

To the OP - current information is posted on IRCC's website, no need to rely on contradictory responses on an internet forum.
