Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has been hired through the Global Talent Stream. One of the biggest hurdles I've seen people mention regarding the hiring of foreigners from outside of Canada is the need for an LMIA. However, if I understand the Global Talent Stream Program correctly, workers in certain in-demand occupations are exempt from the LMIA, and the government aims to process work permits for these individuals in 2 weeks.
Does this program really work as intended? Or is it a case of something that looks good on paper but is not useful to employers in practice?
Thanks!
